When is the readathon happening?
The challenge commences on the 1st of September and runs through until the 30th!
What is The World’s Coolest Readathon?
The World's Coolest Readathon is a virtual community event. We aim to encourage reading in teams to reduce stress and promote positive mental health all over Australia
TWCR is a challenge to read five books in 30 days, occurring between the 1st and 30th of September. However, feel free to start whenever you like - and keep it going!

Read any 5 books. Log them in our Goodreads group, share them to your social media and add them to your profile through creating a blog post!

Fundraising
How can I maximise my fundraising?
First and foremost, get your friends, family and colleagues involved by creating a reading team!
Be sure to check out the 'Resources' page for some other ideas. We have a range of different resources to boost your fundraising campaign on social media and other platforms.
Ensure that you share your progress using #TWCR.
What prizes are available?
Please check out the 'prizes' tab which can be found at the top of any page. There are hundreds of prizes ranging from signed books and limited edition t-shirts through to a community library for your organisation.
Are there any resources to help me fundraise?
Yes! We have a tailor made 'resources' page with social media tiles, posters for your workplaces, email footers and much more.

The Cause
What does my donation go toward?
All donations this year will go to support the Australian Bibliotherapy Foundation.
Your donation will directly support their mental health programs including setting up new community libraries right across Australia.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Of course! Any donation $2 or above is tax-deductible.
Which organisations does the Readathon support?
The Australian Bibliotherapy Foundation, a charity dedicated to improving mental health through reading. Funds raised help the foundation run programs that reduce stress and provide mental health support, particularly for first responders and veterans.
How does my fundraising make a difference?
Every dollar you raise through The World’s Coolest Readathon helps support the Australian Bibliotherapy Foundation’s programs that promote mental wellbeing through reading.
Your fundraising contributes to initiatives that reduce stress, build emotional resilience, and provide vital mental health support, especially for first responders and veterans who face unique challenges.

How do I register for the Readathon?
To register for the annual Readathon you can click the register button in the navigation bar. You will have 3 options:
- Register as an individual
- Register a team
- Join a team

How can I log the books that I've read?
Download the Goodreads app and join the Brothers and Books reading club to log your books!
Alternatively, visit: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1242200-brothers-and-books.
You are also encouraged to share your books on social media using #TWCR and create a blog post on your profile page.
Do I need to create an online fundraising page?
If you register you will get your own dashboard and links to support your fundraising efforts. You will also have the option to invite team members if you have created a team.
If you do not want to register there is also an option to donate to the charity.
General
How will I receive my prize if I win a challenge?
If you win a challenge or raise enough money to win the shirt, you will receive a message notification via email and the prize will be sent to the address that you have registered.
